About Michael Braudy: an experienced violinist in Western and North Indian classical music, his interest in Indian music was sparked by Ravi Shankar and Alla Rakha's 1970's performance in Carnegie Hall. Struck by the meditative quality of Indian music, Michael began studying Indian violin in 1978 with Roop Verma, a disciple of Ali Akbar Khan and Ravi Shankar.

Michael has performed Indian classical music at various venues in the US and India.
